Blockchain and Aadhaar-based Smart Healthcare System for Biomedical and Healthcare Applications

Abstract


In 2008, a cryptocurrency called Bitcoin was proposed, and in 2009, an open-source version of it was made available. The implementation of bitcoin used blockchain as its foundational technology. Blockchain, which is decentralised, makes peer-to-peer networking transactions possible. Researchers have been attempting to investigate its uses in non-financial fields. One sector where blockchain can have a big impact is healthcare. Health monitoring devices, clinical trial data, the sharing and storage of patient medical records, the storage of information connected to insurance, and claim settlement are just a few of the ways that blockchain technology has the potential to improve the healthcare sector. The suggested system makes an attempt to leverage Blockchain technology to solve concerns around ownership, security, and privacy of healthcare data.
