Analysis of the Health Workforce in India
Abstract
The equitable and efficient delivery of health care has a significant impact on population health. Health employees who are in charge of providing health services are crucial to the health system's operation. To achieve better outcomes in terms of reduced morbidity and mortality, numerical adequacy, appropriate skill mix, geographical spread, and ease of financial access are all required. Greater availability of health workers has been linked to higher service utilisation as well as health outcomes such as immunisation coverage and child and maternal survival (Anand and Bärnighausen 2004).
