Pawan Whig

Abstract

Supply chain management is an approach for enhancing corporate operations so they are more competitive, robust, and flexible. The primary goal of SCM is to increase the competitiveness of a product or service (Machowiak, W. (2012). This essay attempts to analyse, comprehend, and explain the development of supply chain management. We have made an effort to investigate the future of supply chain on the basis of a thorough literature research. Along with important classical definitions, we have included a number of SCM definitions offered by professionals throughout the course of the past few decades. This research includes a number of supply chain-related aspects. In order to distinguish SCM from similar fields like logistics management and value chain, the article explores SCM and its aspects.
