An Analysis of the Drivers of Technological Performance

Madhu Pandey

Abstract

The research investigates how technical performance is affected by mergers and acquisitions (M&As). We assert that the technical performance following an acquisition is favourably correlated with the merging companies' potential for technological combination and their capacity to actualize that potential. A firm's capacity to reach its potential is greatly impacted by its past experience in M&As and technology integration. In turn, the combination potential depends on M&As motives intended to complement businesses' technical resources.
