Abstract

One of the most fundamental and basic vital needs of all humans is good health. As a result, the third of the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals established by world leaders last year aims to provide universal health coverage. The right to health is implicitly recognised as one of the essential rights provided by the Indian constitution. All of man's efforts will be rendered ineffective in the absence of excellent health. To achieve its goal of becoming a developed and affluent nation, India must prioritise its most valuable resource: human capital. India is on the verge of a demographic dividend, with the economically productive (15-59 year old) population exceeding 60%.
