Leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Early Detection of Chronic Diseases in Healthcare Systems

Abstract


The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) into healthcare has the potential to revolutionize early disease detection and diagnosis. This paper explores how AI and ML algorithms can be utilized to predict chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and chronic kidney disease by analyzing large datasets from electronic health records (EHRs), medical imaging, and wearable devices. By employing supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, we propose a framework for early disease detection that could significantly improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs. The paper also discusses challenges related to data privacy, model interpretability, and healthcare infrastructure.
