Abstract

Audit logs serve as a crucial constituent for every agency that has a digital presence and is used to audit, save, and song changes made to the records for green business intelligence. but,  the audit logs are unfortified to attacks that delegate the adversaries to modify information and corresponding audit logs without being disclosed. two distinguished attacks are the authorized get entry to assault, wherein the admin privileges are exploited to destabilize the machine and the online assault, wherein known strategies like sq. injection are used, that tinkers the databases and subsequently calls for detection. This paper provides BlockAudit: An extensible and tamper-evidence gadget that gives essential designing features of audit logs and immutable properties of blockchain that allow having a secured and reliable audit log. closer to this, we implement our layout schema for BlockAudit and description its software and operative processes. The layout is finished on a custom-built proof-of-Authority blockchain and we analyze its performance with the use of various factors like transaction fee, network length, latency, and payload size. results reveal that regular audit logs can seamlessly transition into BlockAudit to obtain extra effective security and shield in opposition to the investigated assaults on audit logs.
