Development of an Effective Web Based Bus Pass Generation System for College Students

Anurag Sharma, Amit sharma

Abstract

This project aims to provide an effective solution for an interactive web-based bus pass creation system for college students. This system will simply require their personal details with confidential pin for authentication purpose, which student has to buy from the DTC bus depot or college office. The system can be accessed by a student at any time. This system will also allow the student to renew his/her card. However, there will be a penalty of a minimal amount in case of loss. In addition to this, to identify the fake bus pass users, the beholder of the pass must carry his/her i-card for verification purposes while traveling. Since it is a startup project, we would like to have it first as a pilot project. Thus, only a few universities will be considered for the application of bus passes. However, the pilot project will be running to all routes across Delhi-NCR. The proposed online bus pass system will take into the maximum requirement of students and provide them an easy and faster way to get their bus pass avoiding queues. After the successful running of the pilot project, this system can be implemented for general citizens in the city.
