Network based Weaknesses & Countermeasures

Samrajyam Singu

Abstract

Web applications evolve throughout time to create a communication environment for users to engage, yet they are prone to vulnerabilities, even with simple programming errors. As a result, security should be a priority in online applications. There are several types of vulnerabilities that might occur while working with online apps, and countermeasures must be developed to deal with these flaws. This paper discusses the various threats that occur in web applications, including examples, and offers a solution for preventing them. The paper also categorises the various web application vulnerabilities using the EDI matrix. The research paper concludes with various countermeasures that address threats to web applications and reduce their impact.
