Ontology Generation and Web-Based Personal Health Record Services
Abstract
The growing interest in healthcare has encouraged the usage of symptom checkers, which are online health applications that give diagnostic information on the health of users. Their diagnostic accuracy, however, remains low because existing symptom checkers rely on manually constructed knowledge models via labor-intensive processes or perform diagnoses based on simple pairwise relationships between diseases and symptoms without taking into account personal health conditions. We offer an intelligent health diagnostic approach in this research that makes use of an autonomously produced ontology and Web-based personal health record services.
